Second Magnesium Update

It’s been about 6 months and I DEFINITLEY notice a big difference when I don’t take my magnesium… like a huge difference.  When we were moving I didn’t take it for a while and was feeling so anxious and then I literally unpacked the bottle and was like “oh- that’s my problem.”

I’ve been adding in epsom salt baths and also made these gummies and this body butter as a way to get more magnesium without having to always take the supplement.   The body butter is so luscious and it makes my skin feel awesome and it smells like chocolate 🙂 I put it on my son’s feet a few nights a week too.

I’m also now taking this a couple days a week.  I love it.  Once I use up all the Natural Calm I have I’ll probably switch totally over to the TriLight.  I love that it gets me my blue green algae too which is great for the thyroid (speaking of thyroid- mine was WAY out of whack for a while and I thought I was going to have to go back onto a synthetic hormone but I’ve balanced it back out with a good diet!! Praise God!).

Here’s where I’m at with symptoms:  The black was where I was at when I first started taking magnesium and the pink is where I was a week later.  The purple is where I am now.

Aggression- regularly– Barely any- None
Anorexia or loss of appetite- Not anorexia but my appetite has been LOW- None – None
Back pain- daily- Decreased – Hardly any
Body odor- no- No change – None
Confusion, brain fog- daily- Barely any – – Much less
Constipation- daily- None – None 
Coronary spasms- occasionally- None – None
Cravings for chocolate- constantly- None (this is huge- I craved chocolate all. the time) – None
Difficulty swallowing- occasionally- None – None
Exhaustion from exercise- occasionally- None – None
Fatigue- daily lately- A bit – – I have more energy than I’ve had in ages
Growth retardation or “failure to thrive”- I’m small…- No change – No change
Hyperactive reflexes- regularly- Still some  – None
Impaired memory and cognitive function- regularly- Occasionally  – Occasionally but this seems to be more “mom brain” than anything 
Impaired muscle coordination (ataxia)- occasionally- Some – Very rarely
Insomnia- frequently in the last few weeks- None – None
Irregular or rapid heartbeat- frequently lately- None – None
Insulin resistance- not sure- Not sure – None aware of
Involuntary eye movements- regularly- None – None
Irritability and anxiety- started out minor and now almost daily- None – None
Muscle cramps, twitches- occasionally- None – None
Muscle weakness, fatigue- just in the last few weeks- None – None
Nausea and vomiting- lately- None – None
PMS – including menstrual pain and irregularities- monthly- Minor – None… I barely even notice my cycles anymore. I used to have a doctors note to miss classes in college because it was so bag
Seizures- no – None
Spasms- no – None
Stiff and aching muscles- daily- Very minor – None
Tics- no – None
Tremors- no – None
Vertigo- yes- None (I even got up on a ladder at work and did several things with no issues!!!) – None

I’d call that a HUGE improvement!  I think some of this also has to do with CSA season starting again and getting back to eating mostly fresh, local food but I feel amazing!!
